Good afternoon everyone.

A bit late, but here is my Canada 150 layout.  Quite simple as I felt the patterned paper really brought forth the spirit of the occasion. Beaver Tails, fireworks and good company made for a great Canada Day Celebration in Victoria, BC.  The word "Celebrate", the "Canada 150" maple leaf, the branch of maple leaves and the corrugated chipboard star have all been embossed with Emerald Creek's wonderful embossing powders.  To adhere the powders, I coated each piece using Ranger's Emboss It Dabber in clear.  You get perfect coverage and the powders really stick.

Products used:
Paper: Wild Whisper "Strong and Free" patterned paper and Bazzil cardstock.
Embellishments:  Southern Ridge Trading Company, Michael's, unknown star, Emerald Creak embossing powers.
Adhesives: 3L foam squares, Ranger Emboss It Dabber, unknown double sided tape.

Hi.  Created another layout for my sweetie's office. This one is of Arnold, our four year old pug.  Not too much fussy cutting here, just a few butterflies.

Products used as follows:
Paper: Graphic 45 "Nature Sketchbook" patterned papers
Embellishments: Graphic 45  "Nature Sketchbook" Journaling & Ephemera Cards, MultiCraft Craft Decor Cotton Lace Trim, unknown black rosette trim, Southern Ridge Trading Company flowers and leaves, Stampin' Up spider web doilies, unknown bling and wood word from Michael's
Adhesives: Sookwang double sided tape, Tombo Mono Multi Liquid Glue, Stampin' Up Dimensionals, Glue Dots Adhesives glue dots and 3L Foam Squares
Hello.  Today I am sharing a thank you card I created for a special friend.  Though it is hard to see from the photos, I used Stampin' Up Dimensionals and 3L Foam Squares to pop up many of the elements.  Southern Ridge Trading Company's flowers and leaves all come on a wire stem.  I use my pair of red handled Tim Holtz scissors to cut the wire off and adhere the flowers and leaves with either glue dots or foam squares.  Don't discard those bits of wire.  I wind them around the tip of my embossing tool to create a curly vine.  Leave a small section of the wire straight to wrap with a glue dot so you can adhere the vine by pushing that straight bit under a flower.  The journaling card with umbrellas decorates the inside of the card.

Products used are as follows:
Paper: Stampin' Up cardstock and Graphic 45 "Cafe Parisian" patterned paper
Embellishments: Graphic 45 "Cafe Parisian" Journaling & Ephemera Cards, Southern Ridge Trading Company flowers and leaves
Adhesives: Tombo Mono Multi Liquid Glue, Glue Dots Mini Dots, Stampin' Up Dimensionals and 3L Foam Squares.

Hello.  With the changing air flow patterns from the interior of British Columbia, on eastern Vancouver Island we are now experiencing a smoky haze from the wild fires that have devastated our province this summer.  Realizing that these fires have burned hundreds of miles away, and we are still affected here on the coast, really brings home the power of Mother Nature and wonder of the workings of our planet.  Our hearts go out to all those displaced by these events, but please hold dear that you are survivors and you still have each other.

With the air quality being what it is, it is a good time to be in the craft room.  I've just completed this layout for my sweetie to put up in his office.

Here are the products used:

  • Paper: Stampin' Up (Happy Haunting) and Bazzil cardstock
  • Embellishments: We R Memory Keepers "Blossom" cards from Albums Made Easy, miscellaneous heart and flower pins
